Here I go again–REBLOGGING a post. (Mine) This might be beneficial to those doing NaNoWriMo this year. As I read through this, I realized I’ve always been working on two books during NaNoWriMo. So, why should this year be any different? Yes, this means I’ve decided to participate in #NaNoWriMo2014. Onward… Have fun and enjoy the rest of October. If you’re participating, I’m sure you are plotting and planning. November 1st will be here soon. Remember, this post was written last year.
Ugh, November. I’m not looking forward to another winter in Michigan, but it’s better than the alternative of not being around to experience it. 🙂

Well I am using the vibes you guys are giving in a different way, I am editing my stories (rewriting) and trying to maintain a target of 1000 word or more every day. 🙂

Hi, Sharmishtha,
As long as you’re having fun, right? Writing 1000 words a day is a great word count to reach for and not always easy. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Good luck!

I started writing a sequel to my Hong Kong novel for Nano, but soon realized my heart wasn’t in it. I’m about to try something completely different now. The story of a 16th C Venetian courtesan. Should be a ‘fun do’ . . . How are you getting on with yours?

Siobhan, Good luck with your new one. Sounds like it’ll be a good one. I’m a little behind, but I’ve been writing each day. My edits were returned, so I’m also working on them. Good luck with your first NaNo. Try doing some sprints. It’ll add count fast if you set a time limit on yourself, or follow #NaNoWriMosprint or https://twitter.com/NaNoWordSprints . Have fun with it.

Those sprints look like fun, Mary. I’m working on edits too and will publish my first Italian novel in a couple of weeks’ time. So excited! 🙂

Awesome and exciting about your first novel! Good luck with your edits. Give the sprints a try if you want to rack up the word count. Or, set a timer and challenge yourself. http://www.timeanddate.com/timer/

Hi Mary – Siobhan told me about NaNoWriMe this week. I admire anyone who has the energy for it. Just the thought leaves me exhausted. Good luck! Ann

Hi, Ann, Thanks for stopping by. NaNo can make a person tired but writing full time now, I’m kind of used to being exhausted! 🙂 I appreciate the good luck wishes.

I thought your inner editor wasn’t supposed to sit on your shoulder until NaNoWriMo was over. Chocolate during that period should be all yours.

David, thanks for your visit and comment. The “inner editor” part is the rule I break a lot of the time. I tried to send her away, honest I did, but to no avail. When I worked full time it was a different story and I followed all the rules.

I dread winter too Mary (and mine isn’t near as bad as yours!). How the heck are we going to get out to Arizona &/or cowboy country? 😀

Well, Teagan, I’ll start with a plane ticket. If only it were that simple, huh?
