Count Down:
November is more than half over. Isn’t that scary if you don’t want time to fly by so fast? Or, maybe you’re like me—still stuck in June. I believe I moved into September. Yes, that does sound better and doesn’t make me look quite like the hermit I am. Oh, not hermit…writer. Excuse me, I, er…um, meant writer. Don’t judge. 😉
This finds us Wrimos more than half way through NaNoWriMo. (National Novel Writing Month)
Time for an Update:
Mary is ahead of the game. Remember back to the end of October when I wasn’t sure I wanted to do, or might not have time for, #NaNoWriMo 2014? I pulled it together but my second round of edits are due back, so that’ll take some time away. I like to stay ahead of the game (word count) if possible.
About my NaNo Manuscript:
Oh, boy. This story is taking me on a whole other path. No, not really… I wanted to see if you were paying attention. I plotted out most of the storyline, but still, I’m going down a path I had doubts about when plotting took place. It is taking me on a path where I don’t know the outcome. That doesn’t mean I don’t know the story ending. It means I don’t know the outcome of this particular scene.
To get a feel of my “what if” scenario, I wrote ahead to get an idea of how this scene should/ could play out. The scene leaves me with two choices.
Of course I’m not telling. Sorry, not trying to be rude. *Wink* You already know that, right? Okay.
At this point, I’ll say no more about said manuscript. I’ll show you my progress instead. I’ve had fun writing Book Three in the Double Dutch Ranch Series so far. The stats page shows my last update from Monday November 17th, 2014 with 888 words for that day. Cool number. I know my word count was not met for the day.
Note: Last year on November 1st, I started Heartbreak’s Reward, Bk #2. It was published in September 2014. (A standalone novel.) The Romance Reviews Top Pick.
I’ll be back either later this week or next week with a cover reveal for my upcoming bonus book numbered 1.5 in the Double Dutch Ranch Series. If you’re on my mailing list, you’ll see it sooner. Mailing List signup HERE.
A couple weeks ago Word Press informed me that my blog was seven years old. Happy Belated Birthday to my blog.
Have a great week.

I’m full of admiration for you, Mary. I jumped horses after starting NaNo and will have to admit that I’m not going to make it this year. 😦

Thank you. I should pass 50K today in NaNo. Just sent a book to the formatter so I can breathe for a minute. Don’t worry abut this year’s NaNoWriMo, Siobhan, and try again next year. They also have a summer camp for their summer NaNo program. It’s a little different where you choose your goal. I’ve never done it.

Not that you need it, Mary. But good luck. Be careful of all those irons in the fire. Don’t pick up the wrong one without a potholder.

You’ve a lot of irons in the fire at the moment Mary J. ( nor branding irons I hope) but you’ll get there. November is past the halfway mark now and you can breathe a sigh of relief in December before the Christmas preparations get underway.
Wow, a 7 year blog, I’ve not met one of those before. Happy Birthday.

Hi there, David. Yes, seven years. It seems like forever ago. I deleted a lot of the first blog posts I had written. Irons in the fire must be what keeps me going. 🙂 Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by.

My hero is an army ranger and a cowboy. But which one will he be by time the book ends? I believe I’ll need more than a rope on this hero.
