Long time blog followers have probably seen this in a previous reblog.
I hesitated posting this again today. I’m redirecting you to a previous post I wrote, and I’ve updated it more than once in all these years.
So many people say, “Let’s forget and move on.” Forget? It’s been fifteen years… I’ll always remember where I was that day. If you choose to forget, or the memories are too difficult for you, feel free to pass on reading. We all understand. I’ve turned off sharing buttons and there is no need to Reblog. https://maryjdresselbooks.com/2011/09/10/my-day-on-911-where-were-you/

I’m not even American, and was about 13 when it happened, but I still remember in vivid quality my mum shouting at me from the living room ‘Millie, Millie, come quickly, something terrible has happened’. For the next 4 entire days our Australian TV channels played nothing but coverage from 9/11. It was heart breaking, distressing and made me want to hug every American I could get my hands on 😭

I know the world stood with my country that day, Millie. Thank you for being one of them. 👍
