What is this thing called “sunrise?” I thought all writers were night owls like me.

Haha, this was back when I was a night owl, Ed. Now, I’ve turned into an early bird against my will. However, with this picture, I was on a twenty-five mile overnight bicycle ride through the streets of downtown Chicago. The event was called L.A.T.E. Night Ride or Long After Twilight Ends. At this point in the ride, we were maybe five miles from downtown and along the coast. As soon as we saw the light on the horizon, we stopped to wait for the sun to rise, and rise it did. The moment was awe-inspiring. So many other riders stopped to watch too.
