These places fill me with gratitude, Mary, but they also make me so sad. Thanks for sharing a bit of history too.

I understand, Diana. I’ve been there twice. The first time with two friends. We all stood in silence for a while taking in what we were looking at.

Sadly the memorial is unexpectedly large. Yet, as you say, it dates back a long way. I didn’t know about First Responders Day. Thanks for sharing, Mary. Happy Halloween hugs!

I don’t know how many times I passed this memorial without paying attention to First Responders because they had a small sign. Then one day I paid attention. I thought it was a war memorial. I agree about how sad for it to be so large. Five in 2018. Thanks for visiting, Teagan. Happy Halloween. 🎃
