Male Butterfly
Pictures proudly taken by my son and daughter-in-law who are giving these beautiful creatures a chance at life by “protecting them from predators during their vulnerable metamorphosis.” ❤ ❤

I just realized I thought I was on a different blog. They’re still beautiful shots. 🙂

How lovely, Mary. Our monarchs seem to be dwindling over the years. I’ve started planting monarch-friendly plants and hope that helps. 🙂

They’re beautiful, Mary! I wish I could see a Monarch up close. I had to look for a bit before I noticed the difference between male/female. The female has the dark V on her back, right?

Hi, Jacquie. Thanks. They are beautiful. I didn’t know, either, but the male has those 2 black spots on his wings.

Gasp! They are marvelous, Mary. I love butterflies. I rarely see any here, except some small white ones. Bright white, and lovely though, but I don’t know what kind they are.
A beautiful post. Hugs on the wing!

They are, Teagan. I bet it’s amazing to watch the process. When I worked, I’d see butterfly kits in some classrooms.
