Now that title sounds like I’m describing myself. Haha. Hi! Just kiddin’.
I should have posted this yesterday, but who has time when unpacking? I did manage to post it on Facebook yesterday morning. So, to update those following my “previous” apartment debacle, share my joy with me:

I’m on the second floor so my knees and the rest of my bones, and muscles, have had quite a workout. No, I did not want a 2nd floor, but I couldn’t turn it down because I had to get out of that smelly joint. This place is smaller by 100 square feet without a linen closet. No linen closet! The one at my other apartment was huge, and I filled every inch. So, I have two units to put together to use for storage. The layout is an open floorplan, which I love. There are only four apartments in this building and again I’m on an end, meaning no side neighbor here, either. My last apartment had eight apartments. Leaving the friends I made there made me sad. Sigh. Live goes on, eh. I’m only 2.5 miles away.
I didn’t plan on writing an entire post about moving, but since I’m here, I might as well. It’s the only writing I’m doing lately. I’m in a remodeled apartment with light gray walls and a dark gray accent wall. It also has gray woodgrain floors throughout. A few months ago, I bought a gray loveseat and recliner. Who knew! My loveseat is likely sitting in a container in the ocean or a port somewhere, but I am enjoying my recliner. I definitely need some color in here to offset all this gray. My favorite color of TEAL goes well with gray, but I will experiment with color when I purchase area rugs.
I must give a shoutout to the moving company Men on the Move and the two guys who moved me–Gene and Phil. They were amazing, friendly, and knew their job well. Now, if I can only find my light bulbs. They wrapped them. I apologized in advance for the stairs. Phil joked and said, “I love stairs.” I widened my eyes and said, “You do?” He said, “No.” Haha. They were funny too.
In addition, when I visited my website this morning to post this, WordPress told me Happy Anniversary. Yesterday marked FOURTEEN years of posting on WordPress. When I think back to those first blog posts that rarely, or never, got a like or comment, I knew I had to keep on keeping on. So today, I’d like to raise my coffee cup to all of my followers. Many of you have stuck with me from the beginning or close to the beginning (even when I’ve been MIA for months now). I’m still here. Cheers, my friends!
Until the next time, have fun and be safe.

Congrats on the accomplishment, Mary! A successful move. And teal sounds like a wonderful compliment to gray (which I like). Glad you’re settling in, and I’m sure you’ll be writing again when the work is done. Hugs. And Happy Thanksgiving.

Thanks, Diana. I like my apartment, and I’m dealing with the stairs. Unfortunately, my empty totes and broken down boxes are sitting in my living room. I need to either hire help to get them to the basement or take a couple down at a time. I still have the same managers so i have two repairs that STILL need fixed. One is the shower head! A broken shower head from the previous tenant was worthless. I attempted to replace, but wouldn’t you know, i can’t get the old nozzle off. Now It’s no better off than it was when I moved in. I’ve waited every day for maintenance for more than two weeks now. I didn’t mean to turn my comment into a post. Happy Thanksgiving to you!

I know that lagging repairs can her aggravating. I hope they take care of it soon. Ugh. But it sounds like you’re almost there, almost ready to put your feet up and enjoy the new place. 🙂
