    • Oh, Me, Oh, My ~ Tagged for the 777 Writing Challenge

      Posted at 7:05 am by Mary J. McCoy-Dressel, on July 20, 2015

      Hello there!

Number 7 smallSeems I got challenged again. 🙂 Author D. Wallace Peach from the blog Myths of the Mirror, tagged me in this challenge. Thanks, D.

Please take a moment to visit and check out her blog.

What is this 777 Writing challenge thing, anyway? Go to Page 7 in your Work in Progress, scroll to Line 7, and share the next 7 lines. There you have it. Then, I’m supposed to tag seven of my followers, or anyone I choose. As some of you know, I don’t always follow the rules when it comes to this kind of thing. So, I’m tagging anyone who wants to join in the fun. If you would like to participate, please do so. I’d love to read your 777.

If you choose to participate, here are your rules: Mention me and my blog as the person who tagged you and explain what the 777 Writing Challenge is. Let us read your 7’s from a WIP. Tag seven people so it continues on. Easy! Have fun with it.

I must tell you this was a hard decision for me. I’m working on two books right now. I decided to use the third book in the Bull Rider Series for this challenge. My Bull Rider Series readers will be happy to hear this because this book was put on hold. Now I am back to working on it.

Set-up: A younger Natale made her first appearance in Hey, Cowboy, Book Two when she came from Italy to visit Velia and her family. We’re in Natale’s point of view. She’s reminiscing after seeing Reece “Foley” Wilson, one of Caulder’s former bull riding teammates, in the hotel pool area a short time ago. They had met earlier in the series. We’ve jumped ahead a few years and Natale is no longer a fourteen-year-old girl.

      Here we go:

Velia wouldn’t take it too lightly if she were to sneak back down there. Maybe Foley would give her his email address or Friend her on Facebook and Instagram. What was it about him? She whispered, “I believe it’s all six feet of him, not one thing in particular anymore—like belli eyes.” Sì, everything, and this was no longer a teenage crush. In two weeks, the world would see her as an adult. Maybe Reece or Foley, whatever he chose to be called, would too. Here and now, she swooned like a young girl, but she’d only be a young girl—for two more weeks.

Thank you for reading. Don’t forget to check out Myths of the Mirror.

Until the next time, take care and have a great week. Remember, if you’re interested in any of my future releases or to be notified of important book updates, my Mailing List Sign-up is at the top of the page.
