    • Mini Blog Series~ Meet the Heroine: Gracelyn

      Posted at 2:15 pm by Mary J. McCoy-Dressel, on May 2, 2016

Welcome back to my mini blog series called “Meet the Heroines.” You can find links to meet the other heroines by clicking on—Meet Our Heroines. Thanks for visiting today.

Meet Gracelyn Clark from Of the Cowboy’s Own Accord. At thirty-one years of age, she is a former Army Brat. After working as a sommelier, and going through extensive training, Gracelyn acquired the title of Guild Wine Master. (I might have trained right along with Gracelyn via research!)

      • Grace lived in San Francisco, but landed a job in Phoenix, Arizona.
      • Is sister to one sibling.
      • She is more like her father, Lieutenant Colonel Clark, than her mother.
      • Education has always been important to her.
      • Growing up an Army Brat, adapting to change is not a problem.
      • She appears to be shy but is sexy in subtle ways.
      • She tries to see the best in people, which has backfired more than once.
      • It was love at first sight upon meeting Boston, a Military Working Dog Military Working Dogs on Facebook.

      • Gracelyn prefers to be called Grace…

She indicated no to another glass of wine but drew her attention back to him. “Call me Grace. Everyone does.”

He hesitated a few seconds, thinking about her full name. The sound of it reminded him of innocence, even though her persona kind of spoke the opposite. “Do you have anything against Gracelyn? It’s nice.”

She fingered a silver chain necklace. “No, not really. Most don’t use my full name.”

With a tilt to his head, he gave a cocky grin. “Maybe I’m not like most.”

      Oh, that cocky cowboy/ soldier.

I enjoyed creating Gracelyn Clark, but I have had a blast creating and getting to know all of my heroines.

      Amazon #1 Best Seller

Our next heroine really isn’t a heroine of her own book, yet, but she is the heroine of the Double Dutch Ranch. She has a big role in all the books. Her name is Judy Carlson…our ranch mom.

I appreciate you taking the time to check out my post. Thanks so much for reading.

      Have a fab week!

    • Meet the Heroines: Facts About Book Heroine Nora Trinity

      Meet the Heroines

      A Mini Blog Series

sunset sky, silhouette of cowgirl sitting, knee up, arm leaning over knee, Mary J McCoy-Dressel, western romance Blog post Meet the Heroine series

Meet Nora Trinity from Cowboy Boss and his Destiny Double Dutch Ranch Series: Love at First Sight.

Four-year-old Destiny Carlson took to Nora right away when they met. She loved her red hair and once even asked Nora if she dyed it. LOL.

When Nora first hugged Destiny, she loved the baby soft smell of her shampoo, and it didn’t take long for her to become attached to the little blue-eyed girl with a big personality.

Nora is thirty-three when the series starts. She’s from our small town of Canyon Junction, Arizona but moved away after high school and worked her way through college. Moving back to her hometown was a tough decision for her.

If I had to choose an actress to play Nora in a movie, it might be Amy Adams or Darby Stanchfield (From Scandal).

      A few things about Nora:

      • Perseverance.
      • A professional and dedicated worker.
      • Confident…most of the time. One person in her life can take her down with only a few words.
      • Holds a grudge
      • She’s been a best friend to Roxanne Connor since childhood.
      • Nora is a sister.
      • Shy to a degree.
      • She reluctantly adapts.
      • She looks just as good in jeans & boots as she does dressed to work in Tristan’s Nora boots2office. He once told her that everyday was a casual day, so I think he likes jeans and boots best. She does have a cute little skirt he likes… I digress…
      • Sensual and sexy, without sexual hang-ups
      • Nurturing.
Mary J McCoy-Dressel, Western Romance, Newly Revised Edition

      Double Dutch Ranch #1

That’s about it for now. I can’t give away all her secrets. You’ll meet her best friend Roxanne Connor in this book. She becomes the star with Randy Drake in Lassoing the Last Dance.

Next time you’ll meet Brenna Page from Heartbreak’s Reward. Visit the blog page Meet Our Heroines where all our heroines will be added to the page as I write them in this mini blog series.

I appreciate your visit! Thank you for reading.
